Baseline Flame Ionization Detector FID
Flame Ionization Detector
characteristic:
General Purpose Detector Selects Hydrocarbons
Not affected by other gases
The flame ionization detector (FID) is Baseline®'s world-class gas and analysis program and now acts as an independent detector. This support material provides a complete and powerful flame ionization detection capability and is flexible enough to be installed in gas analyzers, monitors and many other products. There is incredible detection sensitivity of hydrocarbons. Integrating this FID into your instrument opens up new detection possibilities and saves thousands of dollars in research and product development costs. Based on years of practical testing, our flame ionization detectors are compact and rugged. The probe chamber and vent pipe are constructed of stainless steel. At the bottom is a durable ceramic material. The support material consists of flame-burning air mixed with supported hydrogen, nitrogen hydrogen or hydroquinone. After the sample was introduced into the flame, the hydrocarbon/organic compound was burned. Ions (e) are attracted to generate current during the application of a polarized voltage collector. The current hydrocarbon concentration is proportional to the standard that can be amplified and calibrated with a known hydrocarbon.
