High-end game player? Take a look at this refreshing display

Tencent Digital (Dalat) ROG Swift PG248Q is an e-sports monitor launched by Asustek. The 24-inch screen brings native resolution of 1080p to the user. The TN panel used provides a 1ms response time. The product is priced at 400 pounds (about 3500 yuan).

The PG248Q supports Nvidia's G-Sync technology and can be used with GeForce graphics cards. After turning on the Overclock option through the OSD menu, the refresh rate will be further increased from the original 160Hz to 180Hz, which is 3 times faster than the normal display. Of course, the player's equipment needs to support such a high refresh rate.

In terms of appearance, the PG248Q uses a dark gray tone with a very narrow border. The back 5-way joystick can be used to quickly navigate through the on-screen menu. The red accent on the stand brings a touch of activity in a serious atmosphere.

The monitor provides a front sight, FPS counter, and a timer to give gamers more fun.

Like other G-Sync enabled monitors, the PG248Q is also slightly cramped at the interface, providing only HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 ports.

The menu provides preset parameters for different color configurations, including Blu-ray filters, gamma values, and color temperature control. The support ratio of PG248Q in Adobe RGB color gamut is only 74%, which is obviously lower than many IPS monitors, but the brightness performance close to 400 cd/m2 has saved some of the situation. In other words, PG248Q performs well in terms of color consistency, but has poor color accuracy. However, considering that this product is aimed at gamers rather than design workers, it is not a big problem. Any fast-paced FPS game screen can be well presented on the PG248Q. Turning on G-Sync with Nvidia graphics will give you a better experience.

With regard to response speed, refresh rate, and various game-related functions, the PG248Q is definitely an excellent gaming monitor.
