1 Project Overview
Shenzhen Universiade Center is located in the northeast of Shenzhen City, west of Longgang Central City, about 15 kilometers from the city center. It is the main venue for Shenzhen to host the 26th Summer Universiade in 2011. It is also the strategy of developing a cultural city in Shenzhen and developing sports. Industry, promote the future center of the national fitness.
The entire project covers an area of ​​87.4 hectares, with a construction area of ​​over 300,000 square meters and a total investment of about 3.5 billion yuan. Upon completion, it will become a landmark building in Shenzhen. Among them, the main stadium with a planned seating capacity of 60,000 seats will assume the opening ceremony, closing ceremony and track and field competition; the main stadium that can accommodate 18,000 spectators will become the main venue for basketball games; there will also be a swimming pool with 3,000 seats.
