Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris put a number of "plugged" drones to supervise airport airspace.
In general, the relevant regulatory agencies refuse to see drones in the airspace near the airport. However, the French technology company Elistair found a way to use both the effectiveness of UAVs and their safety. They linked drones with surveillance equipment to the ground.
Drones are widely used in agriculture, military affairs, exploration, wild animal and plant protection and express delivery because of their wide-spread characteristics. But not all applications require drones to fly too far.
For example, the garrison troops need a suspended aerial observation platform to provide uninterrupted visual field control. Recently, the U.S. military ordered a number of drones with the above functions. Because the drone is connected to the ground, the ground can supply power to the drone, enabling it to have uninterrupted flight capabilities.
This is also the purpose of Elistair's construction of two stationary UAV ground stations for Safe-T and High-T. The drone can be monitored at an altitude of 50 to 100 meters, and the bolting device can transmit data in real time and provide power for the drone, making it capable of uninterrupted flight. In addition, this will also ensure that the UAV does not crash when the battery is dead, accidentally hurt pedestrians or interfere with the normal flight of the aircraft.
France's airspace control near the airport has always been strict, but the French Civil Aviation Authority has recently approved Elistair's three tests of tying drones. The attempt to apply the UAV surveillance capability is something that people hope to see. In the future, it may also be applied to the monitoring of French flights.
These TDDs are used to monitor the airspace of the Charles de Gaulle airport and they also assist in calibrating the navigation aids at Le Bourget Airport. The system consists of nine drones flying at different altitudes and maintains real-time connection with the airport flight control tower.
Just like drones in other areas, airport drones can perform other specific tasks. In the case of artificial collaboration, it can accomplish tasks such as safety supervision more efficiently. It is not difficult for us to understand the consequences of letting drones fly "freely." Perhaps it is a more feasible method to "stuck" drones at this stage.
