STMicroelectronics (ST) has introduced the automotive-grade six-axis inertial sensor ASM330LHH, which provides ultra-high-resolution motion tracking for advanced in-vehicle navigation and information service systems.
The ASM330LHH meets the continuity and accuracy requirements of automated service for vehicle positioning. When satellite signals are blocked, the ASM330LHH can provide sensor data for advanced dead reckoning algorithms to calculate the precise position of the vehicle. The blocking of satellite signals usually occurs in high-rise urban streets, tunnels, covered roads, garages or dense forests. The ASM330LHH's advanced low-noise, temperature-stable design enables reliable in-vehicle information services such as road and bridge electronic toll collection, remote diagnostics and electronic rescue. Precision six-axis inertial sensing data also meets the needs of advanced autonomous driving systems.
Magneti Marelli has chosen ASM330LHH for its advanced in-vehicle information service system, which will also become the original standard for future models of global automakers.
Like other MEMS sensors from STMicroelectronics, STMicroelectronics controls the entire manufacturing process of the ASM330LHH. From sensor design to wafer fabrication, packaging, calibration, and supply, end-to-end full-range control enables ST to develop high-performance sensors and provide customers with a robust and responsive supply chain that performs stringent online screening Quality control plan.
Andrea Onetti, vice president of analog, MEMS and sensor products at STMicroelectronics, said: "STMicroelectronics is the largest MEMS sensor manufacturer in the automotive non-safety market, such as car navigation and information service systems [1], our latest generation of inertial sensors - - The automotive-grade ASM330LHH enables precise positioning and makes car driving safer and smarter."
Project samples will be delivered to customer reviews in the third quarter of 2018 and volume production will begin in the fourth quarter.
ASM330LHH Details
Operating temperature range up to 105 ° C, the electronic controller is no longer limited by the installation location, designers can install it in high temperature locations, such as in the roof smart antenna or near the engine compartment;
When the positioning is only dependent on the sensor, ultra-low noise can achieve higher measurement resolution by minimizing the integration error;
High linearity and built-in temperature compensation mechanism, no need to add any external compensation algorithm in the working range;
The lowest power consumption of similar products, when the battery life is critical, can optimize power management efficiency;
Passed the AEC-Q100 automotive-grade robustness standard certification;
Based on proven STMicroelectronics' unique ThELMA[2] MEMS process, 3-axis accelerometers and 3-axis angular rate sensors (gyros) can be integrated on the same wafer for optimal chip yield, quality and reliability. Level;
The electronic interface uses ST's 130nm HCMOS9A technology to integrate a signal chain shared by two sensors on the same die;
The development kit includes a reference design, as well as ST's TeseoTM satellite positioning module and related software. The dead reckoning algorithm attached to the Teseo III GNSS receiver chipset already supports the ASM330LHH, which can generate high-precision outputs for autonomous navigation;
The slim, compact form factor of 3mm x 2.5mm x 0.83mm does not materially affect the size of any onboard module;
It is packaged in a contact array (LGA).
Stator and rotor laminations are an important part of motors and generators. For medium-sized laminations with a great quantity, we usually use compound puncing. The advantages of compound punching is the process is suitable for mass production of medium-sized stator and rotor laminations. And the lead time is shorter. Usually the outer diameter is from 300mm-580mm.
