A high withstand voltage, 800mA, low dropout LDO that can be used on the interface side--SGM2205

In 1947, the first transistor was born in Bell Laboratories, opening a new era of electronic technology since then. However, the transistors at that time could only be used in single-function products such as hearing aids and radios, and more electronic devices needed smaller transistors and realized new functions, so integrated circuits were available. Nowadays, chips are getting smaller and smaller, more and more integrated transistors, electronic products have more functions, and people's lives are getting better.

However, with powerful functions comes a series of problems. For example, the increase in system power consumption and the increase in power supply scheme backup have caused noise on the power supply side and various interface overshoot EOS damage to become more and more common. These problems give Engineers' solution design work has increased a lot of difficulty, especially the charger solution design, the system load may crash if the transient changes of the system load are slightly different.

In response to the above problems, Shengbang Microelectronics introduced a high withstand voltage, 800mA, low dropout LDO-SGM2205 that can be used on the interface side, which greatly reduces the design difficulty on the engineer side and increases the reliability of the system.

SGM2205 design concept

SGM2205 can support 800mA output low dropout and high withstand voltage LDO. The original intention of the design is to meet the high reliability requirements in various complex power supply environments, especially the DC-DC/AC-DC back-end or interface power supply, which needs resistance Burr, surge, high voltage failure and other bad conditions. For example, fast charging chargers fail to high voltage, grid fluctuations cause voltage drift at the back of the transformer, and surges caused by hot swapping of the system backplane. At the same time, SGM2205 requires very low input and output capacitors, just 2.2μF ceramic capacitors.
