AR+ car: Porsche smartly uses AR technology for remote maintenance

The VR network learned a few days ago that Porsche began deploying a set of augmented reality (AR) smart glasses devices -- Tech Live Look -- in its dealerships. If a technician finds that he is unable to solve the current car problem, he/she can use this pair of glasses to contact Porsche’s technical support team in Atlanta to provide the technicians there with an accurate picture.

It is understood that this pair of glasses can view every corner and every part of the car. The LED lights provide illumination in a dark environment and the HD camera can automatically focus the target on small, threaded parts.

Since it is a pair of AR glasses, there must be no less AR elements. It is reported that Atlanta's technical team can directly send instructions and technical service messages to the glasses. That is, the dealer's technicians do not need to go to a nearby computer. Open the email before you can see the solution, because glasses will show this part of the information directly.

According to VR, Porsche has launched Tech Live Look in eight dealers this summer. It can help technicians save 40% of their repair time, while owners can get their cars back faster.
