Installation precautions for the upper clamp on the overhead line

For the installation of the upper clamp on the overhead line, the following aspects should be noted:

(1) Pay attention to the matching. The type of clamp used should be matched with the type of wire and lightning protection wire. In case of improper fixing, it will lead to accidents.

(2) Installation direction. The boltless side of the flip-chip type tension clamp shall be installed at the wire end; the bolt side shall be installed at the jumper end. Do not install it, otherwise it will cause an accident. For the connection between the insulator and the clamp, a metal tool of appropriate length is used to ensure a safe distance between the jumper of the clamp attachment and the insulator skirt.

(3) Installation method. Do not directly contact between the wire clamp and the aluminum stranded wire, the copper core aluminum stranded wire and the aluminum-clad steel stranded wire. Instead, the first and second layers of the aluminum tape should be tightly wrapped around the surface of the stranded wire. The outer strands are twisted in the same direction. The ends of the strands are 10 to 30 mm, and the ends of the aluminum strips are pressed into the clamps to prevent the ends from spreading.
