LED display dot pitch, module size and line of sight calculation

Release date: 2017-11-29 Source: led network share:

In the LED display engineering design and engineering budget, it is often necessary to use the LED electronic display point spacing, module size and line of sight calculation, Xiaobian below to lead everyone, learn how to calculate the point spacing, module size and Line of sight

Point spacing calculation method

The dot pitch is the center distance from each pixel to each adjacent pixel.

Each pixel can be an LED light [eg PH10 (1R)], two LED lights [eg PH16 (2R)], four LED lights [eg PH16 (2R1G1B)]. The pitch of P16 is: 16MM; the pitch of P20 is: 20MM; the pitch of P12 is: 12MM...

Relationship between dot pitch and module (box) size

1): box length

Box length = number of pixels on the long side * point spacing

For example: PH16 length = 16 points × 1.6cm = 25.6cm, height = 8 points × 1.6cm = 12.8cm

2): box width

Box width = number of pixels on the wide side * point spacing

For example: PH10 length = 32 points × 1.0cm = 32cm, height = 16 points × 1.0cm = 16cm

Box/full screen resolution calculation method

1): cabinet resolution

Cabinet resolution = length * width / point spacing

2): full screen resolution

LED display screen per square pixel = 1,000,000 / dot pitch

Module using module number calculation

1): Method 1

Total area ÷ module length ÷ module height = number of modules used

For example: 10 square PH16 outdoor monochrome led display using the number of modules is equal to:

10 square meters ÷0.256 meters ÷0.128 meters = 305.17678 305

2): Method 2 (more accurate method)

Length using module number × height using module number = total number of modules used

For example, the number of modules used in PH16 monochrome led display with a length of 5 meters and a height of 2 meters:

Long use module number = 5 meters ÷ 0.256 meters = 19.53125 ≈ 20

High number of modules used = 2 meters ÷ 0.128 meters = 15.26 ≈ 16

The total number of modules used = 20 × 16 = 320

LED display screen distance calculation method

RGB color mixing distance three colors mixed into a single color distance: LED full color screen line of sight = pixel point spacing (mm) × 500 ~ pixel point spacing (mm) × 1000

The minimum viewing distance can display the distance of the smooth image: LED display visible distance = pixel pitch (mm) × 1000

The most suitable viewing distance The viewer can see the distance of the high-definition picture: the best viewing distance of the LED display = pixel spacing (mm) × 3000 ~ pixel spacing (mm) × 1000

The farthest viewing distance: LED screen farthest viewing distance = screen height (m) × 30 (times)
