Lou's Electronics today officially launched the new RAF series of balanced armature drive units to help audible equipment and headset designers create the next generation of high-end headphones. Designed for wireless products, the receiver is small, high-efficiency, and is an ideal component for a wide range of high-end music playback headphones, audible devices, Bluetooth headsets, communication headsets and mini audio amplifiers.

As consumers become more enthusiastic about using their smartphones to play music, listen to podcasts and audiobooks, sound quality is still one of the most critical features of headphones. The latest industry survey* found that 90% of respondents expect high-quality sound from their devices. The survey also found that 92% of respondents said they were disappointed when the headset was unable to connect with the playback software; 84% of the respondents were very concerned about the stability of the existing connection.
